Terms of Use

1. Introduction
Welcome to AdLens. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AdLens mobile application, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Dahlberg Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our", or "the Company").
AdLens is a camera-based application that uses artificial intelligence to analyse advertisements, identifying brands, logos, fonts, colour palettes, estimated production costs, and creative agency attributions.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Definitions
In these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "App" means the AdLens mobile application (available on iOS and Android) and the AdLens web application.
- "Service" means the App and all related features, tools, APIs, and functionality provided by AdLens, including image analysis, brand recognition, font identification, colour extraction, cost estimation, and agency attribution.
- "User" means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service, whether through an authenticated account or anonymous session.
- "Content" means any images, photographs, text, data, or other materials uploaded to, submitted through, or generated by the Service.
- "Analysis Results" means the data, reports, brand identifications, font matches, colour palettes, cost estimates, agency attributions, and other outputs generated by the Service in response to User-submitted Content.
3. Account and Authentication
The Service offers both anonymous and authenticated access:
- Anonymous Access: You may use certain basic features of the Service without creating an account. Anonymous sessions are subject to usage limits and do not provide access to the full feature set.
- Authenticated Accounts: To access the full range of features, including scan history, saved results, and subscription-based capabilities, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided proves to be inaccurate, false, or incomplete.
4. Licence Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
This licence does not include the right to:
- Sublicence, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or distribute the Service or any part thereof;
- Modify, create derivative works of, disassemble, reverse-compile, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service;
- Access the Service in order to build a competing product or service; or
- Use the Service beyond the scope of the licence granted herein.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted in these Terms. This licence is effective until terminated by either party in accordance with Section 12.
5. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewable Purchases
AdLens offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans ("AdLens Pro") that provide access to premium features such as unlimited scans, full brand analysis, font identification, and colour palette export.
5.1 Subscription Plans
The following subscription plans are available:
- AdLens Pro Annual: Billed once per year. The price is displayed in the App before purchase and may vary by region.
- AdLens Pro Monthly: Billed once per month. The price is displayed in the App before purchase and may vary by region.
Current pricing is always shown on the subscription screen within the App and on the App Store product page. Prices are set in your local currency by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
5.2 Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for AdLens Pro. If a free trial is offered, the duration will be clearly stated before you subscribe. At the end of the free trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period.
5.3 Billing and Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions are processed and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (the "Store"). By subscribing, you agree to the following:
- Payment will be charged to your Store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Store account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price as your current plan unless we have notified you of a price change.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time through your Store account settings.
5.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will continue to have access to AdLens Pro features until your current period expires. No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods.
To cancel on iOS: Open Settings → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → select AdLens → Cancel Subscription.
5.5 Price Changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. If we increase prices, we will notify you in advance through the App or via the Store, and you will have the option to cancel before the new price takes effect. Continued use of the subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5.6 Restoring Purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your active subscription by tapping "Restore Purchases" on the subscription screen. Subscriptions are tied to your Store account and will be restored automatically when you sign in with the same account.
6. User Conduct
You agree that you shall not:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or underlying models of the Service;
- Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, scrapers, or similar tools to access, collect data from, or interact with the Service;
- Use Analysis Results in any manner that is misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful;
- Upload Content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other proprietary rights;
- Upload Content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its servers, or any connected systems or networks;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any security-related or access-limiting features of the Service; or
- Use the Service to develop, train, or improve any competing artificial intelligence or machine learning system.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including but not limited to its software, AI models, analysis algorithms, user interface, design, graphics, text, and all other components, is owned by Dahlberg Ltd and is protected by copyright, trade mark, patent, and other intellectual property laws of England and Wales and international treaties. The AdLens name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trade marks of Dahlberg Ltd.
7.2 User Content
You retain all ownership rights in the images and photographs you upload to the Service. By uploading Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process, analyse, and store your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded images.
7.3 Analysis Results
Analysis Results generated by the Service are licensed to you for personal and commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may use Analysis Results in your own projects, presentations, reports, and other materials. However, the underlying technology, models, and methodologies used to generate the Analysis Results remain the sole property of Dahlberg Ltd.
8. Accuracy Disclaimer
The Service uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to generate Analysis Results. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Analysis Results are AI-generated estimates and approximations, not guarantees of accuracy;
- Brand identifications, logo detections, and confidence scores are probabilistic in nature and may contain errors;
- Font identifications represent the closest matching typefaces as determined by our AI models and may not be exact matches to the fonts actually used in the analysed advertisement;
- Colour palette extractions are approximations that may vary depending on image quality, lighting conditions, and display calibration;
- Production cost estimates are AI-generated approximations based on industry data and should not be relied upon for budgeting, pricing, or financial decisions;
- Agency attributions are inferred from available data and may not reflect the actual creative agency responsible for a given advertisement; and
- The accuracy of Analysis Results depends on the quality, resolution, and clarity of the uploaded images.
We make no warranty or representation regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of any Analysis Results. You should independently verify any Analysis Results before relying upon them for business or professional decisions.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on certain third-party services and technologies to deliver its functionality. These include, but are not limited to:
- Anthropic - AI and machine learning models for image analysis, brand recognition, font identification, and cost estimation;
- Supabase - Database, authentication, and storage infrastructure;
- Cloudflare - Content delivery, hosting, and security services; and
- RevenueCat - Subscription and in-app purchase management.
Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or availability of any third-party services. We do not warrant or guarantee the continued availability of any third-party service, and changes to third-party services may affect the functionality of the Service.
10. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
We process uploaded images solely for the purpose of providing Analysis Results. We do not sell, share, or use your uploaded images for purposes other than delivering the Service, except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- In no event shall Dahlberg Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, agents, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100).
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other matter in respect of which liability cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by ceasing to use the Service and, if applicable, deleting your account.
Upon termination:
- Your licence to use the Service shall immediately cease;
- We may, at our discretion, retain or delete your account data and uploaded Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy;
- We will retain data as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements; and
- Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Accuracy Disclaimer), 11 (Limitation of Liability), and 13 (Governing Law).
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in this section shall affect your statutory rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide notice through the Service or by other appropriate means. The date of the most recent revision will be indicated at the top of these Terms.
Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
